These Mala necklaces are made from 6mm gemstones. Each necklace contains the standard 108 beads, guru bead and tassel. Mala necklaces have no marker beads.
Mala meaning garland in Sanskrit are a string of prayer beads (108) commonly used in Buddhism,Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism for spiritual practice known in Sanskrit as Japa meaning “to recite”. They are similar to other forms of prayer beads used around the world in various religions and are commonly known as “rosary” in the UK.
