Wirework Amethyst Bangle

Description

This lovely bangle is made from 10mm coin shaped Amethyst (from Brazil). This Amethyst bangle is inter-weaved with Silver Plated copper wire (0.8mm and 0.4mm). The clasp is finished with 4mm Amethyst rounds.

This Wirework Amethyst Bangle 8.5″ (21.5cm) although it is the sort of design that can be worn loosely around the wrist.

Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family. The name of this gemstone comes from the Greek meaning “without drunkenness” and it is believed to protect you from poison. Early Egyptians used it to guard against guilt and fearful feelings. It has been worn as protection from self-deception and witchcraft. and used to open the spiritual and psychic centres which makes it a power stone. Amethyst is also known as the Bishop’s Stone and is still worn by Catholic Bishops today. This stone symbolises piety,humility,sincerity and spiritual wisdom.
