Zen Mala Necklace

Description

These Mala necklaces are made from 6mm gemstones. Each necklace contains the standard 108 beads, guru bead and tassel.

Zen Mala necklaces differ from a Mala necklace as they have’marker’ beads along it’s length. These beads are placed after the 7th, 14th 87th and 101st beads. These beads are included with the other beads to bring you back into your meditation and help you refocus if you begin to stray.

Mala meaning garland in Sanskrit are a string of prayer beads (108) commonly used in Buddhism,Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism for spiritual practice known in Sanskrit as Japa meaning “to recite”. They are similar to other forms of prayer beads used around the world in various religions and are commonly known as “rosary” in the UK.
Mala jewellery are lovely pieces of jewellery in the form of necklaces or bracelets. Traditionally used in India as a form of a counter for accounts and tracking the days their uses have changed over time.
